Will is about to send out invites to every listed business and school in the Constituency to invite them to The East Cleveland Apprenticeship Convention in August and later in the year The East Cleveland Apprenticeship Fair.
Will writes
East Cleveland Apprenticeship Convention
The aim of the Convention is to make you aware of the funding and support bodies out there to make taking on an apprentice as easy, cost-effective and successful as possible.
We are bringing together businesses like yours with local schools, training providers, the local authority, the Local Enterprise Partnership, and Government so that all parties are aware of what opportunities are available locally and what government support there is for businesses like yours to take on an apprentice. I hope that you will be able to join us in order for you to be able to see and talk to others about the benefits which apprenticeships could bring to your business.
East Cleveland Apprenticeship Fair
The fair will be constructed so that businesses like yours are able to pick from a great pool of local talent. There will be sifting processes on entry for those who are seeking an apprenticeship so that they can show us which direction of work interests them, so we ensure you meet the right candidates. I want to make sure that local businesses will be able to access every piece of government support available in order to be able to nurture local people into valuable apprentices.
I hope that you will be able to join us at both the Convention and the Fair so that you are fully aware of the possibilities for you and your business available locally and so that you can source the excellent local talent that is available across East Cleveland.
The government is focused on creating new apprenticeships, and at the Convention we will be joined by a representative of the Ministry of Business Innovation and Skills, and at the Fair we hope to be joined by Matthew Hancock, the Minister in charge of skills.
